WP1 will be the starting point for the TOPAs project. Within this work package the consortium will analyze existing best practices for performance monitoring and execute a baseline audit of pilot sites. This will result in the requirements and the validation methodology for the specification and design of the TOPAs architecture that enables continuous performance auditing. Therefore, the main objectives of this WP are to define the technological and application framework of TOPAs platform driven by best practice and industry needs in the areas of performance auditing, tools and services.

WP1.O1. Review the best practice in energy and performance auditing to inform the definition of a methodology for the continuous auditing procedure to be encapsulated by the TOPAs solution applicable at building and district levels.
WP1.O2. Create a baseline of demonstration sites to determine energy usage, users and patterns including consumption profile and factors affecting this profile.

Specify the detailed requirements for TOPAs platform including use case scenarios that demonstrate its capabilities.

Define the TOPAs architecture, interfaces, protocols and a common data format for a scalable integrated platform deployed at multiple building blocks.WP1.O5. Define the validation methodology that ensures that scalability and replication were achieved and demonstrated
